Verde Energy USA Texas, LLC (“Verde Energy”) has greatly appreciated the opportunity to serve as your Retail Electric Provider of choice.  Electricity service contracts with Verde Energy were assigned, as of March 6th 2018 to Spark Energy, LLC (“Spark Energy”), an affiliate licensed by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT Certificate #10046). 

Spark Energy has honored your current agreement in place with Verde Energy and there will be no changes to the terms, rate or conditions through the life of your current contract.  If you have a fixed rate plan with Verde Energy, your service will continue with the same fixed rate until the end of your contract term or upon cancellation of service (termination fees may apply).  You may also contact Spark Energy directly to see what other plan options are available, including renewal options if your contract is expiring soon.  If you need assistance or have questions, please feel free to call our dedicated Customer Care team at 1-877-547-7275 or by email at

How can I enroll with Verde Energy?

What rate will I be charged?

How will I be billed?

You will receive a bill from Verde Energy on a monthly basis. You can receive your monthly bill by mail or by email. Our bill is designed to be simple and easy to understand. Click here to see a sample bill.

What are my options for paying my bill?

You can pay your bill in one of six easy ways:

  • Make a one-time payment through our online Account Portal.  Click here to access the portal.
  • Sign Up for Automatic Bill Payment through our online bill portal or via our automated phone line.
  • Make a Payment by calling us at 844-845-3059. If you are a former TruSmart customer please call us at 844-845-3059.
  • You can mail your check payment to Verde Energy P.O. Box 731111 Dallas, TX 75373-1111.

What happens if I am late in paying my bill?

If you are late in making a payment, you are assessed a 5% late fee of your remaining balance. Please contact us at 844-845-3059 if you have any billing questions.
